Ah, San Francisco. City of steep hills, rolling fog, and pricey drinks, all steeped in rich literary history. Which we got to witness firsthand at 2017’s LitQuake, the city’s celebration of words.
We set up in the historic Swedish American Hall, typing poems for the “Night of Stories” event.
Topics ranged from cross-country journeys, the beach, greeting cards, and this one — for a woman who’d had her glasses run over by a city bus earlier that day.
Afterwards, we celebrated with some of the aforementioned pricey drinks at the gorgeous Top of the Mark, looking out over the city.
Ah, San Fran. We can’t wait to go back… 🌁
