Add some poetry magic to your next event.
What kind of events does Typewriter Rodeo do?
Our primary audiences are corporate, creatives, and schools (see more on each of those below) but we’re happy to type poems at any gathering — from weddings to nonprofits, from kid-friendly to adult-feisty.
We also do workshops, give a one-of-a-kind keynote, and occasionally perform musical stage shows. Click here for a partial schedule of our upcoming events.
And while we based in Austin, Texas, we have chapters in Seattle & Boston and travel anywhere.
Corporate
Think poetry and corporate don’t mix? Think again! We’ve brought the Rodeo to national conferences for companies like PayPal, Audi, and EA. And smaller conferences like tech, medical, even actuarial (yes, there’s poetry in insurance statistics!). By capturing a moment in a poem, guests feel truly “seen” at what is often a crowded, noisy gathering.
And they often share their poems with other attendees — to yelps of delight. Click here to hire Typewriter Rodeo today.
“The most delicate, creative memento I ever took from a corporate event — from any event, as a matter of fact.”
Roberta Bronzatto, PayPal conference attendee

Creative
What better way to celebrate creativity than with custom poems? The Typewriter Rodeo aesthetic is a perfect fit for museums, festivals, fundraiser galas, and creative events of all sorts. We’ve brought our poetry passion to museums like the Smithsonian, Seattle Art, and Perot Science. We’ve also been a fixture at literary celebrations like the Nantucket Book Festival, Sun Valley Writers’ Conference, and Texas Book Festival, as well as fundraisers for arts and nonprofit groups nationwide.
Whatever your audience, we provide a unique way for guests to get a firsthand taste of on-the-spot creativity. Click here to bring Typewriter Rodeo to your next creative gathering!
“Your poems are wonderful and I am going to have mine framed and hang them side by side. People must tell you all the time that you touch their lives - if they don’t, they really should.”
Deborah Fisher, Barnes & Noble

Schools & Libraries
Oh man, we adore school & library visits. We offer both the “traditional” Rodeo of typing poems, as well as our popular poetry workshop, which we customize to each school. Not only do we get students excited about poetry, our workshops are a fun, interactive way to view the core skills of writing, reading, and communication. Click here to give your students the gift of a Typewriter Rodeo!
“Your workshop was wonderful preparation for our 5th graders, who then hosted their own Typewriter Rodeo. Thank you for showing these kids how unstressful and fun it can be to write poetry! By far the most successful event we’ve had this year.”
